When things feel uncertain, one sign that Jesus gives to encourage me is his church and how it loves, gives, and steps out in faith. He formed a family of believers who depend on him. And we see that trust in action across our ministries.
On Sunday we reflected on King Hezekiah, who stood firm when an army pressed at the gates. His trust was real, but even his courage could not save the nation from its deeper enemies. But when the true King came, we saw a trust that never wavered, a victory that overturned death itself, and a mission that now reaches to the ends of the earth. And we’re seeing him lead us into that mission today.
As we conclude our Make a Difference campaign and celebrate the ways our church serves locally and globally, I invite you to lean into trust. Christ is moving through our generosity, our chaplains, our missionaries, and our ordinary love for neighbours. Take up the Advent readings in our app, and walk these weeks with the King who sends us with hope.
